In this post I will teach how to setup call forwarding for Maxis. I asked customer service how to do the call forwarding, but even them gave wrong instructions.
This post will be straightforward.
First step of course is to turn on Call Forwarding feature cost RM3 per month. Then you need to do following steps on phone.
Basically there are 4 codes for maxis, 21 61 62 67
You may dial the following number TO ACTIVATE:
- **21*0123456789# is unconditional divert all call
- **61*0123456789# is conditional call divert if no answer
- **62*0123456789# is conditional call divert if unavailable (off or out of coverage)
- **67*0123456789# is conditional call divert if line busy.
Change the number above to the number you want to forward to.
You may dial the following number TO DEACTIVATE:
- ##21# is unconditional divert all call
- ##61# is conditional call divert if no answer
- ##62# is conditional call divert if unavailable (off or out of coverage)
- ##67# is conditional call divert if line busy.
For deactivation no need phone number.
By default Maxis will forward all calls. So first step is to deactivate code 21, then do the rest of the code. Unless you want to forward all calls then you can ignore.
